I've heard of cases like that and it's fine, labels are personal and people should identify themselves however they want. I identify myself as bisexual even thought I feel that bodies are just vessels, I fall in love with souls, I don't really care about the body and never did, and people would argue that that is more the definition of pansexual but I don't feel comfortable with the pansexual label. But I do believe that nobody should force themselves to have a sexual orientation they don't have, as well as society shouldn't pressure people to have an orientation they don't have or feel.
