3. I just wanted to give you a perspective on the kids thing, cause I have been there. My ex told me he'd rather be together with no kids than have kids with anyone else, guess why we are exs? Those are empty promises. And given that he does no housework, I think it's safe to say he will be expecting mom to do the heavy lifting once baby is here. I have seen that exact scenario cause many divorces despite both parents wanting the kids. So even if you did change your mind (which you shouldn't assume you will) you won't enjoy getting pregnant since he's selfish in bed, and you'll be the primary parent. This man ain't it.

6. Your wife is terrible and I hope you know she is also treating your other kids like crap, or will. If either of your other kids decide they want to be into rock, alternative lifestyles I could only imagine what she would say / do if that were to happen.

   My husband's mom is the same. My husband's mom has also been emotionally abusive behind closed doors and STILL has self-esteem issues because he was never good enough.

   I suggest couples counseling but I don't even know if this will help. This poor kid is from another country and feeling uncomfortable. She just made it worse, and she showed your son her true colors.

7. I would approach her while she is outside of class and apologize. Just an “I'm sorry, I never meant to upset you, I hope you can forgive me.”

   This should result in one of a few possible responses:

   She tells you either she isn't upset or doesn't know what you are talking about. Then you can explain you were upset when she gave you the cold shoulder and want to fix whatever caused her to do that. Hopefully this leads to an opportunity for you to spend time with her. Let her know you think of her often and hope to get to know her.

   She tells you it isn't your fault but she isn't looking for romance. Offer friendship. (Romance can be brought up next year).

   She tells you she isn't looking to make friends. Tell her you understand but hope you can at least be friendly. Tell her you are available if she needs help with anything or just to talk.

   She tells you that she doesn't forgive you. Then it's time for clarification with a, “I've probably done many things to upset you. What were the worst behaviors, so I can correct them in the future?” Hopefully she'll tell you something. If it is something you did, try to make it right. If it isn't, let her know you can't be sorry for things you didn't actually do (unless she is upset you didn't do something…)

   Or, she tells you you just don't appeal to her and while she sees you are interested in her, she's not interested in you. Then you at least know that it's time to look elsewhere.
