I'm going to be real with you. I'd start responding with, “Stop contacting me and leave me alone” before blocking him on whatever he uses to contact you. If he still keeps going, contact the police and start a paper trail.
What he is doing is harrasment and it can escalate very quickly. Not giving in is the only answer here, do not sympathise with him, do not give him a shred of emotion. People who display this behaviour only take advantage of people's kindness and take any form of contact or emotion as motivation to keep going.

I’ve gone through something similar with a family member. Nothing worked until they agreed to inpatient treatment.
Many insurance companies will cover some rehab costs and his job should be protected under FMLA while he’s there. Not saying it will be financially easy, but if your spouse doesn’t get clean he’s just going to get fired eventually anyhow so you have a better shot at a future if you bite the bullet now and find a way to make rehab happen.

If there is no mortgage and mum and dad still make him pay rent and he asks you 600 as part of that…. well his parents seem a little greedy, or that's how they raised him, no free lunch.
