2. She’s not the right audience for those things. Talk to a therapist. Talk to a friend who is more inclined to respond the way you wish.

   It sounds like you have a lot going on and while it’s obviously kind of overwhelming for you, it can be overwhelming to others who you’re leaning on.

   And frankly, there’s plenty of independent research out there that support that trying to stay more positive can in fact speed healing, decrease pain, and….not drive the people around you nuts. (That last part is not from a study)

   I have a couple of chronic illnesses. There’s not a lot that can be done for either beyond trying to prevent flare ups with good sleep, nutrition, staying out of the sun, etc. Even on the “good” days, I’m pretty painful. Trying to stay more positive and do what can be done and not focusing on what can’t be done helps. I couldn’t imagine talking about it all the time to anyone.

   So I dunno. Maybe you really are kind of negative. Or maybe you just need to find a different audience to share your woes with.

3. Get evidence of what shes doing. Record from your phone. Hide it somewhere or a camera. Take photos of any bruises she leaves. When you have enough evidence AND its safe for you and your kids go to the police or someplace safe. If you stay in this relationship it wont just be you whos hurting your kids will too.
