Hey man, first I wanna say I’m really sorry for your loss. It’s okay to take your time with dates, and you don’t have to push yourself to start dating again. From my personal opinion, it does not seem like you’re ready just yet. I’d recommend finding some grief support groups as well as maybe looking in to therapy.
I lost my dad at a really young age, and it took a bit for my mom to start dating again. You just have to know that she would want you to be happy, but go at a pace that is comfortable for you. Hang out with friends if you want or pick up some fun hobbies or books to read if you need a distraction but socializing is too draining. I totally understand that, I always say “I’m all peopled out” when my social battery is down haha.
Anyways just take it a few steps at a time, you’ll get through this. And give yourself time to grieve. It’s okay to mourn the loss, even if you feel like you should be done since it’s been months ago. Grieving is a process that honestly never ends, you just learn to live! with it and grow from it
