You bring up a good point that deserves some explanation, I didn’t have to move in with my mom, I chose to. I had been living an hour away from my hometown with roommates and my partner, I hated the city I was in and the roommates and was not going to stay there. I had planned on moving with my partner but it ended very quickly and I had less than a month to come up with a brand new plan, there was no time to find new roommates, and most of my friends have full houses or still on-line with their parents. Staying with my mom is temporary until I figure out something better. It is also a way to save some money (no rent, high paying jobs) and was supposed to be almost vacation like, as it is beautiful here, I thought some stability and a beautiful mountain town would serve me well while I figured some things out. I still think it will be good for me, I am just disappointed in what feels like a lack of care on her part. I have not had a “nest” since I was 13, I am doing what is best for myself.
