1. Being the breadwinner isn’t really the issue. There are often men who are the breadwinner and no one bats an eye. I don’t really care who makes what, apparently your parents do though. I’m sure if you were male, your parents wouldn’t care.

   The issue is that he doesn’t want to get married and will only do it if he doesn’t have to actually do anything but show up. Him just going with the flow now of what you want could only lead to resentment on his end. Do you want to hear later, “I didn’t even want to get married, I only did it because you wanted it”? Or if you have any problems down the road, “I told you we shouldn’t get married”.

   I'm 27 and just graduated college in December. Your litterally fine. Everyone around me is getting engaged too. Im on 3 weddings this year alone. Admittedly I'm in a relationship too so maybe idk. But it's not too late.

   The later you find your person can vary in the baggage. They might be bringing along kids or a divorce. But they also might not be.

   Love usually comes when your not looking for it.

Also, you are correct about my friend: Although her parents are very kind and caring people, they were also quite poor, and she wamted to move to the city to gain more opportunities (which she managed to do so, and even sends a portion of her earnings back to her family, in order to help support her sibblings).
