  1. Lol, ask me how much I care about someone telling me when I can sleep? I’m going to sleep early, take it or leave me. She’s ridiculous and if I miss my sleep window I’m absolutely screwed.

It’s your hill to die on and honestly, she’s not worth it, if she was she’d understand.

  2. You need to tidy up after yourself. Put the socks in the hamper and your dishes in the sink and wash them.

Both of you need to learn how to communicate because obviously this isn’t working. Yelling and the silent treatment is abusive, she needs therapy and couples therapy could help you communicate.

  3. I was going to say something similar. I’m a stay at home mom. My husband’s and my finances are 100% combined because I’m not currently working. BUT I don’t like the idea that this is basically an ultimatum he’s giving her. Different couples handle their finances differently. There are many good ways to do it. They all require communication and joint decision making, not demands. OP this isn’t a good sign.

Also, Dave Ramsey is an idiot. Go to r/personalfinance and see what people think of him there. It’s not good.

  4. Unless you're both enthusiastic about a second child, don't have a second child. There's nothing wrong with being an only child – I'm one! While there were occasions I did feel jealous of a few of my friends and their siblings growing up, it was more a feeling of curiosity that I didn't have that kind of familial bond. But as a result I developed a highly rich imagination and funneled a lot of energy into creative hobbies and interests I still pursue with enthusiasm today, at 50. (Really, the only downside to being an only child for me is not having support from siblings in dealing with my aging mother. But then again, many of my friends my age who DO have siblings, and are going through the same thing? Find that only one person ends up burdening 90% of the parent-care work and stress anyway.)

My own mother and her sister fought like cats and dogs all their life – from fist fights and broken noses in childhood to fighting each other for over TEN YEARS over their mother's estate when she died. Not everyone has a “close” relationship with their sibling so that's not a smart reason to have another kid.
