I absolutely took the hint. I figured I wasn’t invited, and wished she never asked me if I was going to go by the time she decided to share with me a week before. Had she just not asked again, we would have carried on with our texting as we always have. It was her expectation that I was going to attend her wedding, not even knowing where or when, and being given such little notice now to find care for 6 children. It sucks that I wasn’t worth being given the same courtesy the rest of her guests were, 6 weeks in advance.
Yes, this so much! OP, do you really want to date someone that you have to record something that happens just to prove your point? If your partner doesn't believe you, there's no trust in the relationship. And without trust, what kind of relationship is it really?
Wanted to add that I'm especially bias in my position because my close friend passed away a few months ago, another friend who had a massive falling out with him and hadn't spoken to him in years has been really torn up about cutting him out and not making the effort to make up. So I'm kind of generally of the view that people who ultimately care about each other may regret a lot of wasted time not speaking or at least not making peace with each other (especially over something easily forgiven when you're older and wiser) before it's too late. Sorry for the word vomit and feel free to disregard, it's something I've been thinking about a lot and felt the need to say.
