Yeah, as a parent, I'd be annoyed at this twofold. 1) I wouldn't want that in my house. And 2) if I did, I'd want to be the one to get a big thing like that.
Buying a big ticket item as a siblings partner, without consulting the parents first, is a big faux pas. Grandparents, even siblings might be able to get away with it. But not a siblings partner. Not without consultation, or if they'd been in the family for decades at that point.

I think you could really benefit from joining a local club that matches one of your interests! Even if it seems silly or stupid. It can be really really unhealthy to only have your partner in your life. If you’re not close to your blood family, you gotta make your own! It starts small, but try to get yourself into group settings more if possible. Even if it’s just an on-line Facebook group for a show you like.
