I am married and I share the same view on finances as your boyfriend. I don't see any point in having separate accounts. We've had a joint account with my wife for years now and it just makes the management of finances into a complete non-issue.
Prior to that, we spent like an average of 1-2 hours every week figuring out who pays for what, and how much should either of us spend on what. Absolute waste of time and something very weird to have in a unit, which a marriage is supposed to be. There is no “my money” or “her money” anymore, it's our family money.
That said, I'd probably not break up/divorce my wife over if she wanted to have her own account very much. She has the right to do that, and you have the right to do that as well.
There is a scenario where acknowledges his feelings, recognizes her fault, and genuinely invites him because she wants him to be there.
Changing her plans is not exclusively under pressure. People can grow, you know, and want to do better.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Don't make her beg. She's dropping so many hints… please ask her out.
