Why on earth are you trying to bring an innocent child into this relationship? Let him go be married to his mother, while you go find a man who is ready to actually be in a relationship with a woman.
The number one rule is this: You do NOT need your parent's approval.
You tell them and when they don't approve and start to cause drama, say this:
“Seeing how you do not approve of my child or husband, then I will assume you want nothing to do with them. We won't bother giving you any more information about them. Have a nice day” – then end the conversation.
When you deal with judgmental people, they usually see only in black and white, it's their way or no way, and their garbage doesn't stink. It does stink. A LOT.
You are basically saying to them if they insist on judging, insulting, and degrading, then you will not waste your time with them. You are taking your power back, and letting them know they now have no sway over you.
