The way to get the truth from someone who has an incentive to lie to you is to get someone else to ask him. Ask his mom or maybe an ex-gf if he has ever said he doesn’t want kids as he’s claiming to you.
Other option is to start out the relationship undecided and ask him about whether he wants kids or not BEFORE you reveal your real opinion. Allows him to say no to kids if that’s truly what he thinks.
It's not only your house, it's his house too. It's a pretty toxic mindset.
