I’m not advocating ghosting, but for people who are just sexting buddies, it’s very normal to eventually drift. You can just say you’re busy and start sending pics of your shoes/pets/houseplants and let it fizzle into nothing.
There’s nothing wrong with being nude and sexting with another lonely, consenting adult but there’s no reason to do it if you don’t feel like it. It does take effort to send good nudes! And no one is entitled to them lol.
You don’t really need to justify yourself, you can just not reply for a while and say you’re much busier with work/school/etc but it was nice chatting.
Granted, sometimes people strike up a genuine friendship/acquaintanceship with their sexting buddies. If you’ve talked about life, work, job stresses, etc, and you’re comfortable/interested in chatting platonically, then it’s also okay to just tell them you’re not feeling sexting/too busy but like to chat.
Either way, it’s not that big a deal. Sexting buddies are a treat while they happen and it’s 100% a fleeting thing people tend to do when they’re bored/lonely/too busy for proper IRL dating. No shame in having a bit of fun, no shame in ending that fun.

Thats the thing though . He refuses to go to therapy because he has no problem to address . The guy isn't morbidly obese or anything similar . He just apparently gained some weight and now his wife isn't attracted to him . Imagine a guy saying ” we need to go to therapy because your stomach isn't flat and i don't like your body anymore .” Would you be calling the woman the problem in that situation ?
If anyone needs therapy , it's OP . She really needs to figure out why she feels that she can dictate what someone else eats and how his body looks…
He did this on purpose to push your boundaries and force you to 'give' a little on them. He'll do this time and time again until your boundaries no longer exist and you feel as though you aren't allowed to have any.
He knew you didn't like this but deliberately left his own fries untouched and helped himself to yours?? It was 100% on done on purpose to push your buttons.
Is he in treatment now? I'm wondering if he (and his mother) are manipulating you. Maybe he didn't actually try to kill himself. Regardless, you aren't responsible for his mental health.

Hey you, I told you I would update you. I didn’t end up writing the letter because after I posted about this, I saw the family at my baby niece’s b-day party. His mom, dad, and sister all avoided me and it made me feel super shut-out and sad. I told my boyfriend how everyone has been treating me (apparently he didn’t notice) and he said he would set up a mediated conversation between us.
Fast forward to the conversation and, long story short, it wasn’t mediated like he said it would be. It was his mom and dad both blaming me for everything and my boyfriend sitting by silently. I broke up with him after that because he led me into a hostile situation and didn’t stick up for me. Sorry for the bad news :/
