  1. Do not trust condoms as a sole method of contraception. Please talk to your doctor if it ist possible to have a sterilisation or even hysterectomy yourself. Unfortunately many doctors are not very open about this way, but it would be a far better solution than condoms. Also, as he already changed his mind about the vasectomy, would you still trust him with condoms? As you have problems with hormonal contraception and heavy bleedings this might be helpful also for other problems.

I personally would completely refuse vaginal intercourse until a safe solution is found. But I am petty and learned the very very hot way not to trust men when it comes to reliable contraception and condoms (which I do not regard as reliable).

  2. He may have an intellectual disability.

He certainly does not have living skills one would expect for an adult at 34 years of age.

That being said, he is not an adult you should be in a relationship with when you have a 2 year old child.

  3. When you have kids, they can consume your life, especially when they're little.

Understand that a large percentage of your sister's time and attention is devoted to her kids right now, so having a relationship with her is probably going to involve talking about the kids some. However, every parent also needs a life outside of their kids, even if it's a TV show they watch a few times a week.

Let her talk about the kids for a little while, but also ask her questions about herself. Try to develop/nurture common interests you can discuss together. And know that this will probably get better over time.

  4. Ok this is on your bf to handle bc it is his family. If he doesn't want to handle it, then you should seriously consider the relationship. You deserve to be with someone who prioritizes and defends you. If not, your entire relationship will be plagued by his family and his inability to have your back.

  5. He likely was never a danger. Something extreme happened with the fiancé for the friend to cut contact like this. It’s super suspect that the fiancé isn’t saying what happened.

  6. You're not the same person though just because you wouldn't do something the same way doesn't mean that she needs to act or react in the same way you would.. she is her own person. Either way she's decided to go on this trip without you, you have to decide whether you're going to leave her or stay with her.

  7. I was slightly drunk and I honestly only wanted her number because I thought she was nice and I want to make new friends because I really struggle with that.

The fact that she could think I want to hook up with her is only something that came to me when I was sober again.

Why it doesn't come up that someones has a partner? I mean if you're in a bar or a club and just talk to a person do you always clearly tell them that you have a partner? If you're a woman it's realistic that you do this but more as a sort of defence mechanism while I think that guys don't have to do this as often. There were instances where I specifically told the women I meet that I have a GF but the first time it happened I didn't mention it because we were talking about philosophy and when I was leaving I just said 'bye and left.

  8. I tend to use a fairly narrow definition of cheating compared to some, but I’d consider this cheating no matter how it went down.

There are 3 possibilities here. He had sex with someone and is covering his ass, he had sex with someone for the reasons he stated, or he didn’t have sex and still tried (and possibly succeeded) to impregnate someone behind your back.

That last one may not technically involve sex, but it might as well. It’s still a massive betrayal, still has possibly lifelong negative consequences for you both, and still involves him going outside your marriage for something he should have been doing with you if at all.

How could you possibly trust him after this?
