I wouldn’t either. Tell him if he doesn’t like it he can leave the relationship. I wish my ex was as forthcoming with that information, would have made my decision a whole lot easier instead of the investigation legwork I had to put in.
So OP? I only have one question. Is she going to therapy, seeing a mental health professional of any kind, to address these traumas and learn how to communicate better with you? Because it sounds like you're trying to play therapist here and that's not necessarily a great idea. If she's got baggage and trauma and shit to deal with, that is effecting the relationship? It's her responsibility to go address those issues. If she's not willing to do that? That's absolutely a deal breaker, from where I'm sitting. Just saying.
