It can delete messages but only the oldest ones (so any new message will delete the oldest one, depending on the limit you set up. It was the case on my old Galaxy Ace, you could decide a limited number of messages kept in your history, though I don't know if such a feature still exists on our phone generation).
But in the OP, it sounds like the app will magically delete specific messages, which is imo a lie

At some point you have to see a pattern in the type of people you are choosing, and how they treat you. If you’re consistently ending up in relationships with people who do not value you, ask yourself why that is. What traits attract you to those types of people in the first place.
My intention is not to victim blame but really to say that maybe the pattern of partners is that OP finds himself attracted to women who do not value him – and that is more than likely due to his insecurities – and instead of realizing this and walking away – OP stays.

When you’re young and in abusive relationship with a manipulator, sometimes things that would normally seem clear as day outside that relationship, seem murky. He’s clear great at gas lighting and we really don’t know op’s history. E we don’t know if she’s ever seen a healthy relationship modeled for her by the adults in her life or if she’s experienced abuse. Often children of abusers end up in abusive relationships bc those things seem “normal” to them or not as bad as what they saw growing up.
Empathy is developed in childhood and young adulthood or not at all. It can be emulated after that but not learned. This man is way too old to learn empathy, though he may learn to fake empathy if he perceives that it will benefit him.
The father is letting him stay there with a discount. Who cares about rights to the condo. Housing is the biggest expense people pay today. Why give it up unless you can purchase a house. Unless OP is in danger or is going to find a place to live that is cheaper I don't see how sabotaging a good thing is going to help OP succeed in the future.
