This this this. I don't understand why these social pitfalls exist for women (or, I do get their ORIGIN, but they're so stupid I wish they'd have died already). A woman can't just say “no not interested” because she's a bitch. Maybe she thinks he's unattractive? If she does she's shallow. Why can't she just give him ONE chance to date her? As long as you can remain amicable living together and not having any form of physical intimacy, she needs to respect your boundaries. You have a child together, but you are not in a committed relationship. Might be time to start dating, though that can be problematic when living with baby momma.
Im aware that it selfish to confess and that it might hurt her or her relationship that is why I haven't done it yet however I don't know how to make my self feel better
The family was very wary when she first introduced him to us and expressed our concern her about dating an older man. But after getting to know him over the years, he was the best thing for her. She stopped her clubbing & drug use and settled down. He was the best thing for her. In reality is she pursued him. She pushed to move in with him, she pushed him to get married, and she pushed to have 3 kids. Now she wants to go back to her footloose lifestyle but in order to do so without loosing the respect of her current social circles she needs to make him look like a abusive sack of crap, which he is not.
Then you have to respect that. The hardest thing to accept is that minds change, and people aren’t who they used to be. He still wants you in his life and he wants to be friends. You can’t make him do anything more than that, and you have to accept that you’ll never be together again. If you can be friends with him truly without being in love with him and without sex then I’d definitely say keep him in your life. But if not then find someone who wants you just as much as you want them, where it’s not difficult and confusing
