What I've found easiest is to compromise on other areas. You shouldn't view it as 50/50 work on individual chores, but 50/50 in terms of household upkeep. So if daily cleaning isn't her strong suit, you can pick up the slack there. But then on the flip side, she should be able to counter balance that by picking up more of a work load somewhere else.
For me personally, I'm better with the day to day cleaning of my home. But my wife is better with organzation, scheduling, bills, appointments, etc, so she takes over on that. I handle the majority of the cooking in our house. She handles the majority of the grocery shopping.
Overall it's just about balance of the household work. Not individual chores.
