Some added context to the situation. This is her first job since she was laid off in late 2019. She tried to start a business in 2021 but in my opinion it failed due to lack of work ethic resulting from not being able to self motivate while working from home. Her current job is a result of us almost breaking up after 2+ years of her not being able to bring anything financially to our relationship.
I think getting laid off was a big blow to her. She has a history of depression, as do I, so I understand the struggle. I personally think that her not getting out of bed is just feeding into her depression and low self esteem which I have tried my best to help her with over the last few years. But I'm kinda at the point where enough is enough and as much as I love her, its also detrimental to my own mental health and happiness. I've definitely brought up that I think she hasn't been herself multiple times over the past few years, and made suggestions to try and help, but it doesn't seem like she ever takes the initiative to do the difficult things that need to be done in order to regain confidence.
As for going out otherwise, she will go visit her old roommates from before we lived together. Honestly I dont think they are the best influences on her and are not very successful in their own right. I find that she'll often leave work early to go hang out with them and smoke. Occasionally that's fine, but if you are sleeping most of the days and leaving work early a lot its concerning. She has the mentality of doing the bare minimum for her job.
As for a workspace she has a very nice office space. I gave her the bigger office when we moved. Her only complaint is that we needed to keep a few small pieces of furniture in the office that aren't hers. Even if she worked on the couch or in the kitchen I think it would be better then never leaving the bed.
When I was 22 I dated a 35 year old man for about 9ish months. Next thing you know it ended in a restraining order against him. I’m about to be 29 in a few months and I can’t even take 22 year olds seriously most days.
