Eh gonna say it falls to how well you trust her. Of course she is going to give you that story if she didnt want you finding the truth. I mean look at how many are defending it. You really can fix her internal problem. It's something she has to work on.
But you can do a lot by consistently affirming your love for her and your perception of her as beautiful. I struggle the way she does at times. It helps a lot that my partner frequently and without prompting verbalizes that he finds me desirable and lovely. He will tell me that he wishes I could see myself through his eyes. He touches and admires parts of me that I'm less than pleased with, and that helps a lot too.
When you catch her looking critically at herself in the mirror, stand behind her, put your arms around her, look in the mirror with her, and tell her she's beautiful.

No doubt about that! Actually there have been some posts made on this sub that go like this…boyfriend wants open relationship…..girlfriend did not want it but got nagged half to death into it. Boyfriend has one date (the person he had in mind to push for open relationship). Girl has a date same week. No more dates for boyfriend no matter how nude he tries, gf has all these guys trying to date her. Now boyfriend whines about wanting to close the relationship.
And one of the reasons for this is quite simple really. Women are more inclined to not want to involve themselves some guy who has a main squeeze when they want to be the main gf. Women usually don’t want that bullshit, baggage or drama. Guys on the other hand are more inclined to go for a woman in an open relationship.
