When she first started saying she loved me I immediately felt un easy.
I didn't feel uncomfortable because I thought it was a manipulation tactic, which I didn't realize at the time. I felt uncomfortable because I was thinking what the hell is wrong with this girl she thinks she loves me this soon she doesn't even know me!
She kept telling me that even if I didn't tell her I loved her she knew I loved her and eventually I started saying it to get a rise out of her. Then there was no going back and she manipulated me into continuing to say it and I think this all made it more difficult for me to walk away. Almost like since I was saying it I meant it, even though I didn't really feel it necessarily.

Yes you are tripping. It's not that explicitly clear that this man is interested in her for more than friendship. When we as women respond to potentially platonic attention with “i have a boyfriend” we get absolutely flamed. It's not worth it. Better to naturally work that she's seeing someone into a different conversation but if all they're talking about is a show, it might not come up, and that's really okay cause it sounds like it's a very surface level friendship. Ultimately she wouldn't add him cause she wants you to be comfortable (which i also think is dumb — if you trust her this shouldn't matter, and if you don't you should break up.)

My mom went through this exact thing. My dad was an abusive pastor. The church was extremely unsupportive and spread rumors about her when she divorced him. She ended up moving across the country to get away from all the judgmental people. It wasn't easy for her but it was necessary and she's in a better place now. I'm so sorry you're going through this and that people can be so so stupid and clueless and hateful. I think the best way to stop caring is to cut those people completely out of your life and move on to better things for yourself. I'm wishing you the best, I know how painful this is
