Splitting household finances is always a tricky but needed conversation and it's not a one fits all answer. The way that inpersonally see it, when I lived with my ex all bills were split evenly regardless of income. I made a bit more but still similar enough incomes and we agreed to do that to avoid any issues about money. When it came to groceries we did it based on who had more money at the time (mostly me) and extra curricular were also done on who had more at that time.
I will say, if your new job pays more then what is your reason to not cover the remaining difference on your rent?
