  2. Therapy does not work if you go once in blue moon. There has to be consistency for it to work. You build up your skills and abilities. There is no magic visit, and you're cured. So, get therapy on a regular basis.

    What you can do immediately is make a decision not to fight. If you are going to say something, stop. Wait 10 seconds. Think about what you were going to say. Say it calmly if you think it's the right thing to say. Do not raise your voice. It takes practice. Just keep thinking calmly, speak softly, and no fighting.

    Many years ago, when I did this, conflict in my relationships basically ended. Try it if you like. But definitely get therapy.
