OP is just using the word “compromise” to make herself feel better. To make it sound like at the end of the day they both gave something up to get something they wanted.
But in reality, OP just got what she wanted and he gave in to her demands. Notice she said she's upset because he doesn't appreciate the things she had to give up (her friend group) to marry him. Why would he? Its what SHE wanted. He didn't want to marry her.
