The amount that this situation is hurting you is not rational, which leads me to wonder if this is actually one branch of a deeper issue for you. Be honest and try to look at it objectively, is this a symptom of a larger problem? It seems like an extreme reaction to something small.
I say this with compassion, because I've been in relationships where something like this would upset me, more because it's the straw that broke the camels back. What else is happening with you two?

Title kind of summarized it but this guy I don’t even know that goes to school with my girlfriend apparently wants some advice and wants to take my girlfriend to dinner. He told he’s in a bad spot with his own girlfriend. I’m not sure why out of all of his friends he decided to ask my girlfriend. They both are insisting on meeting in person and I asked why not over the phone or something. Anyways im not sure if this is a common thing. I know she probably thinks it’s just friendly but I’ve never been in a situation where a guy just wants to have dinner when he’s in a bad spot with his current girlfriend.
