Yeah, you're right. I'm kinda repeating myself in the comments, but I do think he's lacking the basic respect needed for any type of relationship now… I was just slow to see it.
You know, I get it when someone has a friend of the opposite sex, especially when they’re very young, can set off some folk’s insecurity. I had multiple friends who would friend the opposite sex just to get an opportunity with them so I had this a bit when I was younger.
But, dang, nothing you posted sounds anything more than a friendship to me. Where do you get “he’s in love with her, right!?” from? And if he’s in love with her, why would he be dating you the new girl? If it’s the other way around where she likes him, he doesn’t have to reciprocate as well.
I’m not sure this level of insecurity will work long term. You’re going to stress yourself out and / or push him away.
