There are many different ways of expressing your disagreement/disapproval of what your partner is saying or expressing without using words like “stupid,” dumb, ignorant, etc. These are words that are meant to belittle and make people feel smaller than the person using the word and anyone using these words knows it will lead to the person they are using them against feeling hurt.
