we both enjoy many of the same things and I would say I am more introverted then he is, but we are both definitely introverts. I suppose I ask this question because there are many aspects of life that I feel passionate towards, wether that be my studies, travel, honestly just life and what the future holds — he shares my feelings about these things but lacks a passion. I suppose he just does/ says stuff for the sake of doing it but when I do/ say things there is real passion behind it.
I care for him so deeply and he often tells me while he doesn’t outwardly express things well he internally feels them, but again agrees not to the extent I do (not in a he’s indifferent kind of way he just doesn’t feel things to the level I describe & says he never has).
I just find it so naked to imagine a life to have not felt the passion I feel, but that is my reality so of course I cannot. It just begs the question, can I spend the rest of my life with someone who doesn’t understand or relate to my feelings (again I don’t mean this negatively, he mellows me out at times and I appreciate that but it does make you think).
Communication is terrifying for men in relationships in the western world, because if we say something our wives don’t like, or request they, I don’t know, pull their weight in a relationship, they can take half/all of our money and stuff, make it so we never see our children, and put us in jail for refusing to anything they want. So we require “therapy”, and in the majority of cases (I would say 3.5 times out of 5) the “therapist” just emboldens the women to control more of the relationship, while telling the man it’s wrong to expect anything from his wife in their relationship. 40% of men that get to this point kill themselves, leading to married men 25-40 being, by and large, the group driving the suicide and mental health epidemic we have the the United States. And making me appreciate my AMAZING wife more and more everyday I am with her, as more and more of my good friends and family members off themselves, due mostly to the terrible women that they married/had children with.
Sounds like you are incompatible in sex and in what you want out of life. You don’t have to stay in a sexless marriage with someone who doesn’t want kids. You can leave him and meet someone who wants what you want who you are sexually compatible with.
