I'm so sorry for your loss. You have every right to feel the way you do and how he is reacting is absolutely disgusting. No one deserves to be treated like this. I personally believe you should dump this goof. If all he's going to do is treat you like this while you're grieving for you mother, you're better off without him. All that said, I understand you're going through a really hot time tho and may not want to make big changes right now but please remember that you deserve SO much better than this!
Also, coming from a male… This “need” is absolutely something we can control. If he can't, that is an even bigger issue and another red flag that shows you should probably leave the fool.
