Yes you're overreacting. Nobody, your child included, is entitled to presents. It's your mil's money and she can spend it how she see fit. Unless you have POA because she's incapacitated, you have no say whatsoever in how she spends (or doesn't spend) her money.

You're being abused. I know you don't want to accept it but you are. Especially the part where he threatens to hurt himself, that's the worse form of psychological abuse, IMO. It’s pretty common for men to be excluded from baby showers. Most of the ones I’ve attended were all women. Maybe none of the men in the family were invited and FIL only brought it up in a like, “your mom’s at the baby shower” kinda way.

I'm not trying to upstage anyone, but I think I would be a good father and my wife a good mother. I see the joys of childrearing and I want them for my wife and I. I think we are stable enough that we could overcome any challenges, especially considering how many parents have made it work with little to no consideration/planning.

That's why you both need to have a conversation to get on the same page about what constitutes cheating. Very hot to hold people accountable when there are two rule books. Make your rule book together.
His sexual needs are only REALLY being met by porn. It’s not about you though. His brain is so affected by it and now it’s starting to spread to your brain! You need to leave the relationship on the basis that love isn’t enough when there is no trust. Spend some time on your own, get your mind clear and start over. At 19 you are young enough to get through this without it affecting your whole life.
He’s the one with the problem – not you – and it doesn’t sound like he gets that yet. He’s doing nothing on his own… he’s just doing what he thinks you want him to do… and then it sucks him back in.
