You fucked up. Let her go. It’ll be really nude to regain her trust, and she’ll always have that thought in the back of her mind that you lied to her and gaslit her and that usually doesn’t end well down the run.
I really have put some effort in! There's been talks, walks, adventures, dates.. You name it. Would love to hear suggestions and ideas! Happy to try things out.
Was this like a drunk kiss at a party in front of people because they wanted attention, or did they end up in a room together with their clothes off? Before someone tells me that gender doesn’t matter and if it was a dude I wouldn’t ask, I personally would probably judge the situations a bit differently if I’m being honest. Also, I’m not saying I would be okay with it if this were my relationship, but I’d find possible forgiveness in the former than I would the latter.
Same. I've been part of plenty of weddings that were done. In small venues (like historical places). They had to make hard choices where people had to be cut. My husband own family has had to cut family out for the ceremony. He has 44 aunts and uncles (mom has 12 siblings dad has 11) he has over 100 cousins not counting their +1. The 150 people could be mostly family for all anyone knows.
My cousin had a wedding where it was on a lake on a platform. Only 75 could fit on the largest platform with a small one holding the weddings party, bride, groom, and officiant. But the reception had almost 300 people. We have the big-ish family (not as big as my husband's), so almost all seats on the platform were taken by family.
What she did was insane, for sure. I had something very similar happen to me, and from my experience, you shouldn’t even talk to her anymore. The more space you give people like that to try to justify their crazy actions, the more they are internally validating themselves, and the more likely they are going to repeat the crazy behavior.

Learn from your mistake and grow from it.
Does this barista know about your wife? Do you tell her about her?

Church people are so weird. You've known her since she was 13. She's still a teenager and you're 28! What is wrong with you? Literally disgusting
Does that actually work?

i really just needed some outside confirmation that we’re doing the right thing more than anything
