Yeah our baby is really smart and were not too concerned about that. She can almost walk at this point. I am more concerned from a developmental standpoint that our baby will be unable to learn self soothing and this will become a life long issue.

However it still doesn't change my opinion/advice much. He doesn't have that excuse anymore and was being cowardly still, but again, people make mistakes and if he comes to her with genuine intent (and if she wants to) she should hear him out and give it another try if she decides so. What he did wasn't monstrous, just cowardly and idiotic (if he does actually want something with her)
