Print things out, save screengrabs, etc. If he manages to contact you again or in any way escalates (shows up at your work, places you frequent, etc.) reach out to the police. People aren't violent until they are violent. His behaviour is very scary and I'm not at all surprised that you feel the way you do, I would too. And you really should tell your family and friends what is going on. They need to know what's going on in case he tries to gain access to you via one of them. Be safe.
