You two are not good for each others. Likely you’re not good for other people either. I think you should probably be single for awhile and meet with a therapist. There’s no reason to stay with a person who is treating you this terribly and I think you should really ask yourself why you’re doing it.
Aside from leaving, please report this to the police. He threatened to lay hands on you and be violent and THEN followed it up by getting a knife and threatening further physical harm. This man could hurt you OR YOUR KIDS OR PETS. Please document this with the police and start a paper trail in case he hurts you or tries to lie and say YOU abused HIM (a very common tactic of men like this).

That's a great point, so many good doctors are completely burnt out from pisspoor working conditions that they fully opt out of gov't programs like medicaid. Beyond just the burnout, from my understanding workingwith medicaid is a bitch and a half. I had a prescription that was messed up and my doctor had to call them every day for a week to fix it.
My own Dr is very young and extremely competent, the only reason I get any treatment is because I hit the good doctor jackpot. I think his young age is the reason why he's so good, he's not yet been ripped apart by the system that hates good doctors.
