Birthdays are super important to me and if my partner ditched me to hang with his family, and didn’t tell me that was his plan until right before he left, I’d be so upset. Also, if after 3 years he didn’t TRY to foster a good relationship between me and his family, or went NC with them after they treated me like crap, I wouldn’t stay.
