He probably felt pushed aside with your “new family”. Did you try to understand him and how he was feeling? Take him to therapy since you did start a new family and this is traumatizing to many?
I never even had a conversation with him about it, and I didn't realize at the time how he might've felt about this. I messed up here, and I own up to that. Although I can say that I tried very hot to understand what was happening, I admit that there was a point where I didn't care to understand, I just wanted to “fix”. I get that I succeeded in some aspects, and failed in others, and I would be more than willing to apologize.
