He may be trying to take their relationship in a romantic direction. If your girlfriend is even marginally interesting/attractive likely lots of people will attempt that. If it’s an issue for her – talk about paying for a course of laser hair removal for her. Shaving and waxing – it’s painful, uncomfortable and takes a lot of time. Laser treatment is expensive – if it is affecting YOUR part of the sex life – do this for her. Alternatively – wax/shave as often as she does. I think going through the regular routine would be eye opening for you.
