Everyone can have good times, even the worst person on earth has had a good time with someone. It doesn’t mean that he is worthy of your time.
If he doesn’t want to effectively communicate, give an ultimatum. Tell him, “I am sitting you down to communicate with you. I want it to be effective, and it would really mean a lot to me if you could help me through this and hear what’s been on my heart.” This is a good way to start a conversation like this. This is what usually sets the tone for the rest of the conversation, so make your opening line a good one.
If he doesn’t want to cooperate still, it’s an issue with him. Some men never want to be wrong, and admitting to fault is a huge dent to their ego. He needs to seek therapy, or at least seek relationship counseling. Maybe him hearing it from another male therapist will change his perspective.
As far as it looks though, he seems like he has a stick up his a$$ but refuses to pull it out.
