They typically don’t test for HSV2 unless you have an active lesion that can be swabbed. It’s not part of a standard STI screening. The blood test is notoriously unreliable. So not sure what your plan is there.
Also, herpes can lie dormant for years or forever. So no reason to assume he got it after you met.
