Retroactive jealousy is garbage. Your previous relationship didn't work out, so why in the hell would you want to repeat that? Adult relationships between mature people don't work like this. She doesn't get to impose expectations on you because you had a certain kind of relationship with your ex. However, you need to explain to her why you don't want to return to this sort of relationship. You can't expect her to understand if you won't tell her what's up. You're only telling her the reasons she should be jealous without explaining why she shouldn't be jealous in the bigger picture. yeah you’re completely right thank you. i just don’t want to be a replacement for her and i need to view it more from his perspective. and i’ve never had this issue really it’s just he’s so insistent about that specific spot it really threw me off. it would’ve helped if he told me a reason besides “overwriting his past memories” but i guess neither one of us is good at communicating..

Agreed! I get that it is against some peoples religions. But be that as it may, there is no excuse for him not using his words and instead going along with it, then treating her like she’s some kind of fallen woman. He’s a waste of time and effort.
