Stop wasting your time on trash.
It sounds as if he communicates to everyone EXCEPT her. That’s one of the problems.
Wow I was in the same exact situation. These men are so unhinged and needy. It’s exhausting.
Sis, one thing I wish I had learned at 20 is that none of this will matter outside of your own integrity after college.
Those frat guys? You'll never see most of them again.
If you like Jake, enjoy time with him. Maybe don't be in a rush to sleep with him – get to know him and enjoy being with him. Ignore the Brad's of the world. He can make all the crappy comments he wants about Jake or you being a joke if you date Jake but have you ever thought that maybe the joke is Brad?
I dated a Jake in college. We've been married for well over 20 years now. He was the responsible, too nice kind of dorky guy in college – he's also tenacious, strong, brave, still kind and far from perfect but a really great person. The Brad-like guys? For the first 10 years after college most were still giant tools.
Never having access to his phone is a little weird to me because my fiancé and I both know each others pass codes and have our fingerprints in our phones. Occasionally, we'll use each other's phones for a quick look up for something or to call/message someone real quick. It's not like we look through each other's phones to try to catch the other person in a lie, we trust each other. Your partner can still have his privacy even if you had access to his phone. I just feel like him saying you'll NEVER have access to his phone is a little unrealistic if you plan on spending the rest of your life with him.
