The honest answer is – do your due diligence with things like this before you marry someone. If you KNOW something is a dealbreaker for you, ensure you don't hitch your wagon to somebody who is like that. Hindsight is 20/20, and you're going to miss some things along the way (I've been divorced, trust me!), but all the same.
Part of finding a partner you want to be with “forever” is making sure they meet most, if not all of your needs, and that they don't show signs of having something that is an absolute dealbreaker for you.
Do you still love your wife? Everyone looks dreamy from the outside. The grass is always going to be greener. After the honeymoon phase, you may realize how many incompatibilities you have with this other woman. Sparks fly and infatuation grows during a forbidden love. It’s sexy and exciting. So much promise in the unknown. But when the sparks dim, the infatuation fades, and the love is no longer forbidden and she becomes just another girlfriend, will this be a decision you look back on fondly? Is risking what you have worth what you don’t even know?

Quite the opposite. My position is that even if she had no medical diagnosis, the problem, and what you need to do, would not change. Her claims, and attitude alone are enough to leave her. Dare I say more, the fact she was making you miserable was enough.
My problem with your attitude is that, it seems, without having proof she is a narcissist, you would still stay with her. This approach is why you are in such mess for the second time in your life.

You’re allowed to leave. Just because it’s an addiction doesn’t mean that you have to hang around in a relationship where you’re not being fulfilled and that makes you feel bad about yourself.
