Your opinion is heavily valued, I think I've been needing to hear this stuff from others. I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one thinking something is wrong. Thank you for the advice, I'll be sure to put it to good use.
Pull your dad aside and let him know , that gives him a chance to inform you if this is an arrangement they have or not
If it's not then the faster he finds out the better , imagine spending 7 years loving someone who couldn't give two shits about you….. Also if it's actually cheating try not to let him know how long you've known because now it sort of looks like a betrayal from you.
I think it makes him feel second best, which I totally understand. If roles were reversed, I’d certainly feel a little uncomfortable with the situation if I wasn’t able to afford “expensive” gifts for my family, but I also wouldn’t be mad at him for it. I’m just trying to find a balance of being nice to his family and not upsetting him, which is proving to be difficult.
Eh, sounds like you fucked his brother.
I love new socks so I wouldn’t complain if I got them for Christmas!
It is definitely possible for a 35 year old woman to be this naive. My partner’s ex wife was 37-38 when she picked up & moved halfway across the country to be with a man she met live (while she was married to my partner & tried to lie about it. She was also naive enough to think that would work somehow). The man was a convicted felon con artist.
Hey, hey, don't be so hard on OP.
We are in a presence of a newborn legend. One who managed to get his girlfriend pregnant without having sex with her, just by sheer power of sarcasm. (Look, it's in his comments, magnificent).
We are on an advice sub, be gentle.
He asked how to convince his pregnant girlfriend that she doesn't need marriage. Or, maybe, that she doesn't deserve being married to OP, input unclear.
Any ideas?
I'm out of my sarcasm stash, unfortunately.
Showing you the same amount of positivity that you're giving.
I understand his position, as it is unexpected, and getting cold feet is natural. Of course aborting baby shouldn't be take lightly, but doing to ruin your life is a usual justification.
However, condering, you may trouble conceiving in future you should probably keep your child. Logic being, if you aborted, and failed to conceive in the future you would be absolutely devestated.
The not ruin your life argument is also wrak, as you have means to raise this child.
Considering where this is posted, you will no doubt hear, that father should have no saying in decision to keep the child or not. I disagree on that front, but given you circumstances you should ignore his reasoning, and keep the baby.
