You can have higher expectations that this. I see from your comments that you’re worried about time in terms of having kids. Adoption is always an option so you don’t force yourself into a subpar relationship just to have children.

But it isn't right there and then. You had plenty of time to think about it, but simply procrastinated due to anxiety or whatever the core issue is.
