It sounds like an overreaction due to fear.
Sit down and explain that you have already had some interested parties to your enquiries for a good job, so you will be following up those and need to be available for interviews. That you have been paid for the next x months and will also have 6 months of unemployment at x amount after that should it be needed, but you doubt it will.
Ask what would make her feel better about this situation as you can see that it has has her shook up. Try to keep her on track with understanding that you have 2 months of pay in hand already.
Something similar happened with my bf. He accidentally clicked on his profile that he was 27 when he was actually 29. I asked him about his birthday on our first date, and when the dates didn’t match up, I asked about it. He gave me the explanation and that was it. I asked to see his ID to confirm, but after that we didn’t have any problems. 6 months is kind of a long time to keep up this lie, but I don’t think it’s the end of the world. Hopefully she will just laugh it off. But it’s best to come clean now, rather than later. And you only lied about a one year difference, if it were a 10 year age difference, that would be a much bigger problem. Don’t be too very hot on yourself. You made a mistake, just own up to it and try to move forward.

I did not say she shouldn't have been upset, I just don't see how it would be the only reason for the breakup. Yea, if I found dick pics on my gfs phone, I'd be upset, but if she did not obtain them since dating me, I'd just ask her to delete them and move on.

I’m definitely not willing to change any aspect of who I am for his perspective. I did that the first 24 years of life and am just coming into my own. Do I just have to accept that my dad and I won’t have a relationship? It sucks cause he wasn’t a dead beat and has a good heart and I don’t feel I’ve been that terrible of a daughter either to be no-contact. But we can’t seem to communicate.
