Sadly her previous experience with therapy hasn’t been great. She hasn’t really found the right therapist and this seems to have put her off the idea. Not sure how I can approach this with her as well.

You need to talk with him about it. Sometimes behaviours one person reads as rude, are just normal in the environment the other person is in. I doubt he did it on purpose to annoy you, but quietly feeling resentful isn’t going to fix it. Tell him how his actions made you feel and take it from there.
You say you told Mark he fucked up, how often? Because it sounds like you sit and watch him tear down his girlfriend and say nothing? Your silence is compliance, by 'minding your business' what you're actually doing is showing Mark he can say what he wants infront of you because, hey no one pulls him up so they can't care or think it's that bad ans his girlfriend is going to be thinking the exact same thing.
