No, that is very likely illegal. Once someone stays with you for a certain amount of time (2 weeks in my state) they gain tenant rights. You can’t just move their stuff out and change the locks, that’s an illegal eviction and can cause you more problems because judges don’t look at that too kindly. Each state has different laws, processes, and lengths of time. But usually you have to give them 30 days notice and evict them if they don’t leave.

So first child and you want her to move an hour and a half away from her support system. I think she’d value her mental health and wanting familiar faces around after giving birth over enough space for a horse.
