Well, one thing in general is that many guys don't hate doing housework so much as thinking about it, so it often works better for him to do a few relatively simple but time-consuming tasks. For years I did the laundry, dishes, and vacuuming, my wife did almost everything else, which worked out to about a 50/50 split overall.
