I think you did the right thing by blocking him. It hurts in beginning, especially since this is so fresh, but it gets better over time.
The first few weeks will be very hot. Treat yourself. Go shopping. Get a massage. Go to your favorite restaurant. Do things that make you feel good.
Definitely continue spending time with friends. If you have family you’re close with, spend time with them too. Your support system is decently needed during this time.
I’d also suggest therapy. I had an ex who changed me for the worst. Trust issues I never had before, people pleasing, insecurity I never had before etc. Therapy really helped.
What got me over my ex was journaling. I journal a lot and I was reviewing previous entries. Most of my entries were about him rather than me. I wasn’t happy in any of those entries. After reading that, I decided to no longer use any of my energy to focus on him.
Most importantly, be kind to yourself.
